H.O.R.S.E.

H.O.R.S.E. is an online poker game that mixes different online poker styles in one online poker room, the different styles alternate in a cycle. H.O.R.S.E. is usually played at high stakes online poker rooms.

H.O.R.S.E. poker is said to be the real judge for a poker player's expert, as he has to get under his control multiple poker styles, and being an expert in one style only will not be enough.

H.O.R.S.E. was added to the 2006 World Serious of Poker with a $50,000 buy-in, this is the largest buy-in event at the WSOP (World Serious Of Poker).

The H.O.R.S.E. letters stands for the different online poker games in play.

H for texas Holdem poker game
O for Omaha 8 or better
R for Razz poker
S for Seven card stud
E for Seven card stud 8 or better
[A for Omaha hi]

There are some variations in which different combinations of the poker games are used:
H.O.S.E.
S.H.O.E.
R.A.S.H.
H.A.R.
H.A.
H.O.

The game progress according to the letters order and alternates at set times. In poker tournaments the game style is replaced whenever the blinds go up. In ring games the poker style changes every 8 hands. In H.A. and H.O. they cycle every 10 hands.
