Razz Poker Strategy

Razz is played very similar to Seven card stud, only Razz online poker is played low, so the winning hand is the lowest possible hand. Since flushes and straights do not count against you, that makes the winning hand A-2-3-4-5. This hand is called "wheel" or "bicycle".

In a Razz online poker room, game starts with each player pay an ante (a small forced bet) than gets three cards. Two of the cards face down and one facing up. The faced up card is called "door" and determines the bring in player. That will be the online poker player with the highest door. If more than one player in the online poker room have the same highest door than suit ranks are being used to determine the bring in (Spade is the highest, heart, diamond, club).

First betting round in Razz online poker room

From the bring in player in the online poker room, the betting round continues clockwise. Than one more card is dealt facing up.

The game in the Razz online poker room continues with more betting rounds followed by dealing each player still in the game one more card. After the fifth card the bets are doubled. The seventh card is dealt facing down than the final betting round will start with the same poker player that opened the sixth betting round.

In Razz online poker room, the winning hand is the lowest hand. Straights and flushes do not count. No pair hand will beat one pair hand, which beats two pair hand that beats three of a king. Aces always counts low (That's means they count as the lowest card and not the highest one).
